Back...after a long hiatus from blogging.

I think it has been a year since I have posted on our blog...business has been great and time flies when you are having fun! We just returned from the NYC International Gift Show and found some great things..lots of bright colors and patterns for spring, which will cheer you up on this dreary and rainy day!

We found this amazing pottery in fun shapes, sizes, colors and patterns. This is husband and wife team of artisans and each piece is handblown and hand painted! The gold rim on many of the pieces adds a sophisticated flair! We had such a hard time choosing the pieces, we wanted them ALL!

This bowl is a stunning center piece! Gorgeous with lemons and limes displayed in it.

Bags, bags and more bags! Tunics! Scarves! Lots of GREAT accessories to get you ready for spring and summer!'

Hopefully I have brightened your day!

Much to be thankful for!

Julie and I had the opportunity to participate in the Pinestraw Magazine's re-creation of the Norman Rockwell Thanksgiving. We studied the great photograph and gathered up dishes, accessories and table linens. At first, we were a little disappointed that we wouldn't be able to use all the colorful Vietri turkey dishes we had in the store. The instructions were to make the table resemble the original as much as possible. We had to refrain to adding any modern twists!

We had to set the table up before the photo-shoot, we had kids to pick up from school and get to after-school activities. So we set the table and didn't give it much thought until the magazine came out! Wow! What a perfect rendition of the Norman Rockwell original.

We so enjoyed being a part of this great artistic feat! What are you planning for your Holiday Table? Will it be traditional? Will you use your grandmother's china? Or will you come add a few new things? Whatever you do, being with family and friends over the holidays is a lot to be thankful for.

Cool Mountain Air

Cool Mountain Air = Amazing Flowers

We are enjoying a great week of family vacation in Linville, NC. Had to share this twig and moss window box perched on the railing of our house. Bathed in afternoon sun, these flowers are stunning! If you love this twig and moss style that is so common in the Linville area, stop by the shop to see our selection of smaller bud vases and planters. If this look interests you for your home, stop in and we can special order a window/railing box or larger planters for your porch.

Belated Father's Day Post!

I love this picture of my husband and our infant daughter strolling the streets of San Francisco. She will turn 4 in August, she was just 8 months old in this picture - seems like a lifetime ago! I love her brother's hands reaching up to play with her...great moments. I hope everyone enjoyed a fabulous Father's Day on Sunday!
